Rainer Maria

November 16, 2006

Rainer Maria is about to break your heart. After 10 years of sweetly singing you off of your feet, Caithlin, Kyle and William will disband, playing their last shows during mid-December in New York and Brooklyn. Catastrophe Keeps Us Together, the band’s most recent effort, upped their indie-emo ante with their most sophisticated and beautifully intimate record to date.

Always a passionate and entertaining live show, these last moments are certainly not to be missed. (Check out the live DVD, Anyone In Love With You Already Knows, and practice your “Tinfoil” clapping.) Fellow Brooklynites, Pela, will open.

Rainer Maria – Catastrophe

Listen: Ears Ring from Long Knives Drawn, Artificial Light from A Better Version of Me, Breakfast of Champions from Look Now Look Again, Tinfoil from Past Worn Searching.
